Abstract:

This report presents results of studies of elk in the Sand Creek area of eastern Idaho. Movements and distribution were studied between January 1981 and May 1984. Population status, seasonal movements and distribution, winter range use, summer populations, transition range use, migration routes, and calving are discussed, as well as hunting strategies.
