Abstract:

A. Document specific locations and amount of movement of mountain caribou (Rangifer tarandus montanus) into the U.S. portion of the range from Canada during the winter season. B. Monitor caribou winter habitat use and food habits as related to time of year, weather, vegetation types, and other habitat variables. C. Assess the effects of winter logging activity on caribou habitat use and movements.
