Species Account:
Near historic Sage-grouse lek (probably inactive). Heard and observed several sharp-tail in same area in 2014 and returned with intent to verify lek location. This bird flew across road as I traveled west, landed in sagebrush stand and then perched on a fence wire (no detectable vocalizations and assumed same bird). No other sharp-tailed grouse seen/heard in vicinity that morning.
