Abstract:

Wildlife biologists find that the forest-residing Hoary Bat uses locations on the eastern Snake River Plain as temporary stopovers during fall migration. Information about local research, benefits of bats in general to forests and agriculture, and new difficulties confronting bats in the United States is included in the article.
