Abstract:

This report presents the results of wildlife surveys conducted on October 12-13 and 17, 2005, on 12 locations in the Saylor Creek and Juniper Butte ranges associated with Mountain Home Air Force Base near Mountain Home, ID. Twenty-three species (mammals and birds) were observed. No threatened or endangered species were observed at any of the locations and confirm prior findings that no federally listed species occur on U. S. Air Force lands. The species of concern recorded during the surveys were the greater sage-grouse, sage sparrow, and ferruginous hawk. Three species of noxious weeds were also observed.
