The information below and associated map are a summary of the field surveys completed by the Idaho Army National Guard’s (IDARNG) environmental management office (EMO), specifically the conservation program, from 1989 to present. The IDARNG’s conservation program has produced the most extensive collection of data in the region relative to the species, its life history and ecology, and the current distribution within the Orchard Combat Training Center (OCTC), formally the Orchard Training Area (OTA). In addition to these surveys, the IDARNG continues to conduct in-house clearances and an annual census on all recorded occupied sites in conjunction with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game’s (IDFG) habitat integrity and population (HIP) monitoring.
