Abstract:

The Conservation Data Centre has identified 10 vascular plants as red listed in CanFor’s planning areas in north-central British Columbia. There are many imminent risks that need to be addressed to properly conserve these plants. Provincial recovery strategies and site-specific operating procedures are required to ensure the identified plants are properly represented across the landscape in the future. Managing these rare plants is an essential component of sustainable forest management.
