Abstract:

This document presents the position of the Northern Idaho Ground Squirrel Technical Working Group regarding proposals to increase the Lost Valley Reservoir from 10,000 acre-feet to 30,000 acre-feet. The species occurs only in Adams and Valley counties of Idaho, is federally listed as Threatened, and has had increases in only the Lost Valley metapopulation since the 2003 recovery plan was implemented. Seven points are made by the technical working group.
