Abstract:

David Tart, Regional Ecologist, U.S. Forest Service - Region 4, provided whitebark pine (Pinus albicaulis) data sets for U.S.F.S., Region 4 data to the the Idaho Natural Heritage Program (IDNHP) and Idaho Fish and Wildlife Information System (IFWIS) in 2013 (Source Abstract Codes: N13TAR01IDUS and N13TAR02IDUS). Following processing and entry of these data into the IFWIS Observations database, questions arose regarding mapping errors (e.g., mismapped locations). A phone call was initiated between Dave Tart, Lynn Kinter and Jim Strickland on 23 January 2017 to discuss the data sets provided. Data were determined to come from a number of different data sources.
