Abstract:

The female sex of Chrysochraon (Barracris) petraea is described and illustrated for the first time. Additional specimens from the type locality and from four new locations in Idaho, and the first specimens from Montana, are recorded. The possible relationships of C. petraea with European species of the genus Chrysochraon and with the North American species Chloealtis abdominalis are discussed.
