Abstract:

A survey for Ute ladies’-tresses (ULT), Spiranthes diluvialis, was conducted on July 31 1, 2012, in the project area for the replacement of the Ora Bridge over the Henry’s Fork River (3 miles west of f Ashton, Idaho). The survey area included all wetland and riparian areas from 300 feet downstream of the proposed location of the new span to 300 feet upstream of the existing bridge (see Figure 1, attached). All potentially suitable habitats were surveyed, and ULT was found d only in a specific micro-habitat within a wetland complex adjacent to but not directly connected to the river. A total of eight groupings of 57 plants were found during the survey.
