Abstract:

This article reviews the importance of riparian/stream ecosystems to habitats, wildlife, and livestock. It examines livestock-riparian relationships, including impacts of livestock on instream ecology, terrestrial wildlife, and riparian vegetation. Implications for management of riparian ecosystems are discussed.
