The 8 known species of Homophylax Banks, 1900, occur in montane regions of western North America, from Alaska to California and New Mexico. The genus is characterized, and the species are keyed, described, and illustrated. New species are H. acutus (Idaho), insulas (California), rentzi (California), and Adriana (New Mexico).
