Abstract:

This study, which began in 1992, was a 5-year cooperative effort between the Intermountain Research Station and the Boise National Forest. The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of post-fire conditions on regeneration in different forest ecosystems. Though the study was initially developed to focus on natural regeneration, conifers were planted on sites outside of the RNA as part of the rehabilitative activities. Seedlings planted on sample plots were included in the study.
