Abstract:

The Wyoming Basin Ecoregion in the United States occurs in portions of five states: Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming. There are 16 species found here in eight genera and one family (Lumbricidae). Three of the species are considered native (endemic) to North America (Aporrectodea bowcrowensis, Bimastos parvus and Bimastos welchi); all others are European introductions (exotics). A description of the ecoregion and six color photographs are also included.
