Abstract:

The Blue Mountains Ecoregion in the United States occurs in portions of two states in the American northwest (Oregon and Idaho). There are 11 species found here in eight genera and two families (Lumbricidae and Megascolecidae). Two of the species are considered native (endemic) to North America (Argilophilus hammondi and Drilocheira chenowithensis); all others are European (exotic) introductions. A description of the ecoregion and four color photographs are also included.
