Abstract:

Intensive field work during the summers of 1950 and 1951 has led to many additions to the annotated list, "Summer Birds in Southern Idaho" (Murrelet, Vol. 31, 1:2-8, 1950). The present paper is meant to suppliment the previous work. The 49 new species here listed, together with the previously listed 133, total 182 different species of birds which might be found in southern Idaho during the summer period. Some of these, as many of the Charadriiformes, do not occur as breeding birds but merely as very late spring or very early autumn migrants.
