Deadwood Reservoir

South Fork Payette Basin

  • Recommended Fishing Water

Deadwood Reservoir in Valley County is 2,995.8 acres at an elevation of 5,314 feet above sea level.

Deadwood Reservoir supports a diverse group of salmonids, including some trophy-sized individuals. Also, IDFG utilizes spawning runs out of Deadwood Reservoir to collect kokanee eggs. Eggs are flown to hatcheries and eventually stocked into lakes and reservoirs throughout the state. This may be the most picturesque reservoir in the state.
