Species Account:
At about 5:45 pm a 200 to 250 lb mule deer walked out in front of my car as I was heading towards American Falls from Aberdeen on Highway 39. I did not see the deer until it was a few feet away from me. It hit on the front drivers corner and it's body wrapped around, smashing in the driver door and setting off the side curtain airbags. The animal died instantly. After consulting Sargent Wheeler from the Aberdeen police department, we loaded the animal to be salvaged for personal use.
