Species Account:
The moose was grey to dark black. Approximately 600 pounds. As I approached the scene there were five or six cars stopped on the highway. The Moose is been hit by a smaller car three legs were broken it was still alive with the head up sitting in the southbound lane highway 95 at approximately mile marker 485. Just south and of the pack River bridge. I discharged one shot to the head to put the animal out of its misery. No one on the scene was interested in salvaging the animal. So I volunteered.
