Black Swift nest sights in north Idaho.Shadow and Fern Falls is located in Shoshone County Idaho. Also located in the Panhandle National Forest of Idaho. The falls are approximately 100 yards apart along Yellowdog Creek a tributary of the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River. Fern Falls has had only one nest site for the past two years was not used but this year there is a new nest site at the falls which if looking at the falls is actually not under the falls but approximately 4 feet away from any water to the right of the falls and about 4 feet higher than the previous nest cup. Shadow falls this year has a total of 6 adult on nest and the additional new nest at Fern Falls makes 7 adults on nest at this location.
