Species Account:
I saw one first and thought it was a coyote and then I saw a second one. I was able to get to about 70 yards of the second one and got it in my binocs. I was defintely a wolf and was the alpha. I then saw the other three. In total there were five gray and one black. I was less than 40 yards away from the black one. I have a German Shepherd that weighs 130lbs. The alpha was larger than that and the other three gray ones were a little smaller. The black one was the smallest. The alpha stayed back behind the others until they were a fair distance away from me and then he ran to catch up to them.
