Species Account:
On July 7th, my wife and I were at Sheep lake in the White Clouds Wilderness. My wife first saw the animal in the meadow below the lake, called me over and I got a four second glimpse at a little distance. We weren't sure what it was. That evening, at sunset, I was up slope from the lake taking photos. I put my camera away and started walking down and the wolverine loped along 100 feet below me going west on the north side of the lakeshore. I quickly pulled my camera back out, but with a wide angle lens on it, was not good for a photo. I managed to get a couple shots for ID sake. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see the wolverine. I was able to watch it go along the lake for most of the north side of the lake.
