Species Account:
Note: ~12:40 - Crow flying over cliff, cawing loudly. Red-tail circling over cliff for ~ 10 minutes. ~13:00- Loud wailing, scanned cliffs, PEFA flies across cliffs, perches on tree on top of cliff. Just sits there. Flies away, lands, perches again, on north end of eastern most obvious cliff facing road. Flies away, lost sight briefly. Loud cacking heard. See again, circles, perches towards south end of "main" part of cliff. Sits, scanning area, not preening. Brielf soars, circles, returns to perch. Suddenly dives off, flies speedily east into flock of songbirds. Does not seem to get any. Circles around for a long time. Heads towards cliffs. Lose sight behind tree (very camoflauged on this rock in this light). Can hear loud wailing, cannot see bird. Briefly see flying by concavity on north end of cliff. Rain begins coming down hard at ~13:22. PEFA flies south and perches triangular depression in middle of main east facing cliffs, towards top, under central concavity in ridgeline. Lots of whitewash.
