Note: Heard brief "ee-chups" 9:41 and 9:53 but did not observe PEFA until 11:16, glimpsed one flying over ridge to W of large cliff face then lost visual; 11:24 heard "ee-chupping" continue from main cliff face and spotted PEFA (not sure if different) soaring along cliff, perched near S tip of top of cliff, was there until left at 12:00, preened some, discharged excreta, and "ee-chupped" a little; never saw 2 birds at same time; perching PEFA had very dark black helmet and malar markings in comparison to lighter, more gray back|10:32 when hiked up to 2nd vantage point on top of spur ridge spotted a mountain goat on smaller cliffs to the W of large cliff face, was still laying in same location when ended survey
