Species Account:
Henningsen Parking lot by canyon, behind Lamb Weston. Was as big as my hand for length. Seemed like it was on a mission. Black with yellow polka dots. Let me get really close. Big mouth and the cutest face. Was walking under my car. As at first I thought it was a snake. At one moment I tried to get a closer picture of his cute little face but he only at that point started running. He walked right next to my boot as I tried for that pic. Was happy to get him to walk closer to the building so he would get ran over by the trailers or yardog. Wanted to keep him but figured he was healthy and content so I decided not to kidnap him or put him through stress. Back end of his tail looked as though it was peeling. First time if ever in my 36 years. Living in Idaho saw one in nature living off the land. Was a special moment for me and made my whole night. The weather was humid and super warm at 3 a.m. which is not too common around those hours normally. I have seen many lizards, and snakes a plenty, but never a salamander in nature. Was pretty awesome for me. I thought someone's pet had ran away until I realized the are native to Idaho with a search for info. Thanks for reading!
