Suggestions for other areas to survey:
General area earlier in season.
Monitoring or research needs for this population:
Monitor impacts of use on the 024SCF (Bench Creek Trail); find out if this grouping is contiguous with the Mains Ridge population.
Management needs for this population:
Plants that are south of the Bench Creek trail would have little traffic and should be low disturbance risk.
Additional population comments:
Population area: May be extension of the Mains Ridge population to the south.
2016 (Nadine Hergenrider Notes): This report is near (0.7 mile) a population documented on 7/16/2016 (Hergenrider; Mains Ridge Report). The elevation of the plants seen on July 24th is 8,400 feet. A total of 25 plants were observed at four locations in close proximity of one another. All of the plants were less than 1" in diameter, most were pretty "pitiful" looking, none robust, and only 2 had obvious blossoms. There were located at the base of a talus slope.
