Potential habitat extends in most directions. We surveyed along Deadhorse Road (50 feet on either side of road) for 2.5 km to the west, and 1.3 km to the west of the population, and found no other Astragalus inseptus plants.
Management needs for this population: 
Control of medusahead wildrye and other invasive annual plants.
Additional population comments: 
Only two plants were found. An area with an approximately 75 foot radius from these two plants was thoroughly searched for additional individuals; none were found.
