EO ID:

Suggestions for other areas to survey:
Most high potential habitat in the area has already been surveyed by Steve Popovich.
Monitoring or research needs for this population:
The majority of this population was bulldozed over or burned in the 2018 Sharps Fire. Monitoring needs to occur beginning in 2019 to determine how this species responds to fire and ground disturbance, and whether restoration efforts (e.g. noxious weed management, planting P. insecticruris seedlings) are necessary.
Management needs for this population:
Need to monitor for noxious weeds (diffuse knapweed is in the area) following the disturbance. This population is near a proposed trail; working with BLM recreation specialists to find ways to prevent this flat, relatively shrub-free area from becoming a makeshift parking lot/trailhead.
