Survey
Survey Site:
West Fork Pine Creek
Survey Intensity:
very thorough
Population
Population Area:
1.5 miles x 300 ft
More potential habitat to survey:
yes
Suggestions for other areas to survey:
Other side of the creek and further upstream.
Management needs for this population:
Protect from weed spraying and other disturbance.
Additional population comments:
Scattered populations from start of BLM property to end of project in Sec. 13. The population is continuous with clumps running form 10 individuals to 40. A rare few were bigger but walk less than 40' and there will be another clump. The only spot where it was greater than 40' to the next clump is an open weed infested area from 100'-150'. I walked the entire length of the main stream in Sections 12 & 13 on the west and then north side of the creek. Tthe population is continuous and I did not bother with the smaller populations once I began to see how large the population really was.
