Species Account:
A quick check of the Little Bear Ridge Rd. pond yielded the continuing pair of RED-NECKED GREBES, 3 each CINNAMON TEAL and N. SHOVELERS, and about 10 WILSON'S PHALAROPES (no other shorebirds except Killdeer perhaps due to slight increase in water level). The phalaropes were doing all sorts of courting and copulating and this seems like a likely nesting location.
