Species Account:
A few yard birds of interest today while gardening etc.----Red-eyed Vireo - one has been singing in the neighborhood for a couple days now, not unusual for early June, they usually move on although I did have a pair last year--Turkey Vulture - one flew over late afternoon, I've seen them in town before (usually April migrants) but never from my yard before so this is a new "yard bird" (I almost passed this off as a Swainson's Hawk as they fly w/ a pretty good dihedral but the bird came close enough that I could see the naked, red head, and the typical TV underwing pattern)--Common Nighthawk - one flew over heading north towards dusk----There has been a Swainson's Hawk checking out a tall Doug Fir within view of the yard for several days but not seen today, also a couple of female Black-chinned Hummingbirds fighting over the feeders.--
