Species Account:
No yellowlegs or dowitchers this time but seen on earlier censuses this month suggests maybe the wave of those migrants has passed. All numbers in this and my two prior May counts at this location are for adults only. The geese also had many goslings. And the kestrel was with 2 fledged young this time. Noteworthy was a Canada Goose that displayed a unique (In my experience) kind of albinism. I've seen them with white body, black neck and head, and the usual white chin strap. This one was like that but the neck and head were brown, not black. The white chin strap was very evident.
