A 2 day 4-person survey of a proposed Research Natural Area in Hells Canyon on Granite Creek and Little Granite Creek, Idaho, HCNRA. Temperature exceeded 100 degrees Farenheit on both May 15 and May 16. Butterfly activity high at least 16 species, 2 of them swallowtails. 1 western ratlesnake, 3 yellow-bellied racers, several Great basin gopher snakes.
