Species Account:
After the leaving the South Hills, I stayed in Burley at Budget Inn for the night. Left early for the Stone Hills. Took 84 down to Exit 263 (Juniper) and got on 8500 South ? which took me to 9000 which is black Pine Rd. The closed gate was 4.8 miles from where Black Pine Rd. goes under the FWay. I remembered the site from last year which RL and I came from the other direction. Didn't have any problem with the gate along Black Pine Rd and drove .4 miles to the next gate. There were a lot of cattle there (bawling a lot) and didn't think I could open and then shut the gate so decided to walk the 1.5 miles to the Junipers. Hot and dusty! Sometimes I think I'm carzy to do this kind of thing on my own. (and Bob says probably dumb too!)--I looked all over for the Scott's Oriole that RL and I saw last year. At one point I saw an Orangeish bird with a mate but couldn't have been the Scott's since it's yellow and black. Didn't see it well but must have been a Bullock's.
