Species Account:
On way home from McCall w/ Deb, Iris, and Amber Lankford. We were in McCall for the weekend and did some birding north of New Meadows (Adams Co.) on the way home Sunday. I stopped at the sewage ponds for the Meadow Creek development on the west side of the valley and heard a Blue Jay in a nearby residential area. I used the iPod to call it in for a closer look and confirmation. A small pond in the subdivision along 45th Parallel Rd. held a variety of waterfowl and a group of hardwood trees at the intersection w/ US 95 held a flock of Cedar Waxwing with at least 5 Bohemian Waxwings. This area has impressed me over the past few years with its potential for a variety of birds.
