I had a call of an elk carcass in a field in and amongst several homes in a ranchette style subdivision. Found a calf elk completelty consumed, only bones hide left, very fresh. noticed one wolf track in mud where little tracks could be found in grass field. noticed elk tracks slideing in mud just above slope of the carcass, where first hair appears to have been pulled. wolf tracks noticed in snow across Alder Creek Road from teh subdiviosn. at least 3 wolves. large and small tracks. kill not there the night before according to home owners.
