Sitting in camp for spring bear off of dairy mountain road. 1 single male mountain quail came out of the nearby brush and ran approx. 15 yards from me into another brush thicket. I am an experienced bird hunter and am positive it was a male mountain quail; I saw the blue coloration and the straight top knot.
