Species Account:
I was catch and release fly fishing the headwaters of the Salmon River after cresting the summit from Ketchum, Idaho. While fishing Beaver Creek on both side of highway 75 I caught some fish that had both Brook and Bull trout characteristics. This was confirmed after I subsequently caught two Bull trout and Westslope Cutthroat trout in Fourth-of July Creek. The Brook trout had many Bull trout characteristics.
