Species Account:
I saw a Wolverine on 3/28/2023 at approximately 2:00 PM. It was located just downstream from the Palisades dam. I was fishing on the East side of the river at the Riverside Park Campground. The animal was near a new Beaver "house" in the river just under the bridge. It nearly had an encounter with another fisherman's dog. The dog was called off and the Wolverine left the scene and headed back towards the dam. It appeared healthy and quite active. VERY COOL seeing one in our local area. The animal was dark in color and the fur on its back was quite reflective of the sun. I saw it from about 100 yards.
