Population

EO Number:
5
EO ID:
880
EO History:
unsure
Population Area:
0.06 acres
More potential habitat to survey:
yes
Suggestions for other areas to survey:
There is additional potential habitat around Mormon Reservoir, with a couple other populations known nearby.
Monitoring or research needs for this population:
Monitor after management changes to see if further action needs to take place to protect the population.
Management needs for this population:
The population has been trampled by both vehicle parking and livestock. Plants here have recently been heavily browsed, including the tops of most P. insecticruris plants. There were cattle present around on the population at the time of survey, which were in trespass; a private property fence was broken down near the population. BLM staff are aware of people frequently parking here. Signage to discourage parking here and repairing the damaged fence is suggested. If population continues to be trampled by humans and livestock, a fence exclosure may be necessary to protect it.
