Species Account:
After Bear Basin, I drove over to Ponderosa SP. Hiked the Huckleberry Trail, Ridgeline Trail and Lily Marsh Trail. Backtracked on the Lily Marsh. Was tired! But Lily Marsh gave me the 3-Toed! Nice! After that I headed back to Bear Basin for one more try at the Great Gray. Stopped at Inn for dinner (not much) and headed back to Ponderosa to try for the Barred Owl at the Boardwalk. No go but nice to see the Sandhill Cranes in the Marsh. It was surreal to have it dusk and the cranes calling. Wish the owls had hooted back! Had to be out of there by 10 so hustled out at 9:45.
