Abstract:

This publication is part five of five of The Beetles of the Pacific Northwest; it completes the author's treatment of the beetles of British Columbia, Washington, Idaho, and Oregon "as far as he feels able to carry it." This part includes the several "large phytophagous families" which one reviewer of Part IV noted remained to be covered. These include the Rhipiceroidea, the Sternoxi, Phytophaga, Rhynchophora, and Lamellicornia. About 1,300 species are covered, bringing the total in the five parts to about 4,300 species.
