Species Account:
A mule deer doe. Probably 3 years old. She was in a herd of around 15 other does. I was headed South bound in a large service truck after work. When topping a small hill in the road the deer lunged across the road. I swerved off of the road to avoid the deer while braking and deer slammed in to the side of the drivers door and bounced off the corner of my service bed and then spun several circles while tumbling down the road. I drug the deer to the side of the road and called the Fish and Game number listed on this website. Debbie told me I could salvage the animal so I dressed the animal on the side of the road and brought it home with me.
