Seasonal Ranges and Migrations

In this collaborative project with the University of Wyoming, we are utilizing all of the location data we’ve collected across the state from collared mule deer, elk, and pronghorn to identify seasonal ranges, transitional ranges, migration routes, and calving/fawning habitat.

In addition, we are investigating our ability to predict migration routes across Idaho and linking characteristics of the migration route—like habitat quality—to performance of the population using the route.
