Idaho Fishing, please consider the 365 day licensing. Your out of state license is one of the more expensive which is not an issue. What is an issue is getting our moneys worth. We love fishing my home waters of Idaho but some years we only are able to fish maybe 20 days. For the $98. fee in today's economy is very hard. Keep in mind the other moneys we bring when we do come.
I am betting even some locals would really like this 365 day license.

Actually, we've studied going to a 365-day license versus a calendar-year license and we've talked with a number of states that have gone the 365-day route. There are pros and cons to both.
For Idaho, one of the complicating factors is our salmon and steelhead fisheries. These are seasonal fisheries that require a permit separate from your license. We could not resolve how an angler could have a valid salmon or steelhead permit and not have a valid license. When we've talked to the public about making the change, one of the things most anglers liked about the current system is they know exactly when their license expires (Dec 31) and a new one is required. With the 365-day license, it's easier to forget the date a new license is needed.
States that have made the change don't report a change in revenue - just a more constant revenue stream spread over 12 months.
