IDFG does in fact have a stocking program in Dierkes Lake. Rainbow trout between 8-10 inches are stocked primarily in the spring when water temperatures are cool enough to provide suitable stocking conditions. Additionally, the Departement has intermittently stocked channel catfish. The resident bass and bluegill population provide the bulk of the fishing opporutnity during summer and fall months when water temps force rainbow trout into the deep water.
