What are the official rules regarding the distance you must be from homes roads etc to set up and hunt? For example on the north end of Hayden Lake?

There is no set distance you must be away from homes or roads to hunt.  You cannot shoot from or across the traveled portion, shoulder, or embankment of any maintained road (maintained by any government entity), or hunt on private property without permission from the landowner.
