Iv noticed that only about every 3-4 years or so thier is a controlled hunt draw for moose in unit 63, but there wasnt one this year. When willbe the next time that hunt opens? and what determines if thier is going to be a hunt in that unit or not?

Moose seasons for the fall 2011 and fall 2012 hunting seasons were set by the Idaho Fish and Game Commission in January 2011. There is no moose hunting season in Unit 63. Moose seasons proposals for 2013 and 2014 will be considered this fall/winter and will be set by the Fish and Game Commission at their January 2013 meeting.
