I had been hunting in Montana and was headed home to Washington when I passed an Idaho Fish and Game check station. I had not been hunting in Idaho but I wound up with a warning ticket because I did not stop. What was I supposed to do?

Stop, that's what you are supposed to do if you have been hunting or fishing. All hunters traveling through Idaho are required to stop regardless if they have been hunting in Idaho or another state. We have no way of knowing where they are coming from. A quick stop to let us know that they have been hunting outside of Idaho will meet this requirement. By the way, the stop is required even if no fish or game is present in the vehicle.
